Parkchester Enhancement Program (PEP) for Seniors is a Naturally Occurring Retirement Community (NORC) in the Bronx that serves the older adult population in Parkchester with a variety of social, nursing, and educational/recreational services. Our goal is to help older adults remain active, engaged and safe in their community to "age in place" successfully. PEP is sponsored by CenterLight Health System, Inc. and funded by NYC Department for the Aging.
About the Collection: The Poetry and Art collection is a group exhibition created by the art class of the Parkchester Enhancement Program for Seniors. In this exhibition, we celebrate each participant's unique visual art work developed from an original poem they wrote or they were inspired to use by other writers. Each artist chose an artistic expression that resonated in their heart from topics of empowerment, family, uplifting moments, memories, nature, pets, and unity. As you view each artwork and the poems, may they bring joy and comfort to you. Enjoy the collection!
