Explore your artistic potential with Creative Aging, a series of art workshops for adults 50 and older.

This program will be held in person at Andrew Heiskell Library.

Join us for Playwriting 101!  Teaching artist Nefeli Soteriou will guide participants through the art of writing over 8 sessions. PLEASE NOTE: The sessions began in March, and run through May.

This course is focused on learning the fundamentals of the craft of Playwriting structure, plotting, character development, plot forward movement, conflict, resolution and editing-revising. Participants complete exercises that help them ignite their imagination, enhance their personal  point of view and observational skills. We will focus on discovering the rhythms of human speech and the words arranged together to create sentences and the overall musicality of a conversation that serves a scene, and a story.  At the culmination of the eight weeks actors read excerpts.

Materials will be provided for this program.

Attendance at all sessions is recommended. Space is limited | Supplies are available on a first come, first serve basis.  Registration is recommended.  Register for April events above with your email address. Walkups will be permitted as space accommodates.
