About St. George Library Center

St. George Library Center

The St. George Library Center of the New York Public Library is located in the St. George neighborhood a short walking distance from the Staten Island Ferry and Borough Hall. The library serves as a community hub for all ages, with an upper level Children’s Room, dedicated Teen Center, and Reference Room. In addition to housing a mixed-use community room, and over 60 publicly available desktop and laptop computers, the library is home to a Tech Connect computer lab, along with an Adult Learning Center that offers English classes for non-native speakers.

The Library is a committed partner to Staten Island’s North Shore communities and performs outreach for local schools, daycare centers, senior centers, and shelters. In addition to connections among the Staten Island Community Partnership Program, the Library also collaborates with local partners like Staten Island Arts, Staten Island OutLOUD, the Pride Center of Staten Island, and many more to provide a diverse and inclusive array of enriching programs for all ages.
