Library Materials of Interest to Persons with Disabilities

In addition to the Braille materials and talking books available through the Andrew Heiskell Library, The New York Public Library offers a wide variety of materials of particular interest to persons with sensory and cognitive disabilities.

These materials can be found in the Library's catalog. Patrons may reserve or place holds on circulating print and non-print materials (with the exception of "Book Express" items) owned by any branch of The New York Public Library and have them delivered to any branch in Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island. There is no charge for this service. You will be notified by phone, mail or e-mail when your reserved item is available to be picked up.
